The DivertimenTrio, formed by Maestro Pietro Meldolesi on violin, Paola Emanuele on viola and Andrea Fossà on cello, will perform in Collalto Sabino for the Christmas Concert. The ensemble presents a program entirely dedicated to Mozart’s great masterpiece for this instrumentation: the Divertimento in E-flat major K. 563, a work rich in elegance, melodic invention and refined chamber writing.
The trio was created with the aim of expressing a shared musical vision, developed over years of collaboration and strengthened by deep artistic and personal affinities. Alongside the essential chamber repertoire, the ensemble also explores lesser-known works capable of offering originality and musical depth.

The Musicians

Pietro Meldolesi – Violin
Graduate of the class of A. M. Cotogni and later refined under C. Romano, he deepened his instrumental and pedagogical training through Aberastury Method studies. Also a recorder graduate, since the late 1990s he has focused mainly on early music, collaborating as a violinist, violist and recorder player with major period ensembles such as Concerto Italiano, Modo Antiquo, Accademia per Musica, Il Complesso Barocco and Ensemble Aurora.
He has performed in leading festivals across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia, and has recorded for labels such as Stradivarius, Opus 111, Capriccio and Naïve. He teaches recorder at the Conservatory “Luisa D’Annunzio” in Pescara.

Paola Emanuele – Viola
She began her musical training with the Principal Viola of the Teatro Bellini in Catania. After graduating from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia under Massimo Paris, she perfected her studies at the Fiesole School of Music with Piero Farulli and Augusto Vismara.
A versatile artist, she collaborates with composers from a wide range of backgrounds—from theatre and film music to classical, contemporary and jazz idioms. She has long been dedicated to teaching and currently holds the chair of chamber music at the Conservatory “Alfredo Casella” in L’Aquila.

Andrea Fossà – Cello
Trained at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia and later at the Schola Cantorum in Basel, he studied with masters such as Bijlsma, Suzuki and ter Linden. His concert activity has taken him throughout Europe, the United States, Australia and Latin America. He has recorded for major labels including Harmonia Mundi, Dynamic, Tactus, Naxos and Bongiovanni.
He produced the facsimile edition of Pietro Gaetano Boni’s sonatas for S.P.E.S. and recorded their first complete performance. He teaches ensemble music for voices and early instruments at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia.
